About

I’m Beth Hayden, and I’m a blogger, mother of one, and Internet geek from Colorado. I became interested in blogs in 2003, when I was working as a virtual assistant (VA). As I worked with business owners, I quickly discovered that they needed help with Internet marketing assistance more than anything else.

Around that same time, I discovered Typepad, a simple, easy-to-use, flexible tool for professional blogging.

I was hooked.  Because I was a writer, being a blogger was a natural fit for me, and I soon discovered what a powerful marketing tool blogging could be for businesses.  I learned more about blogging tools and became a Wordpress expert.  I also learned everything I could about creating great content and driving traffic to blogs.  Then I expanded my knowledge into social media tools like Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter.

I started teaching in-person classes, and developed a course called “Basics of Blogging”, which became very popular.  Now “Basics of Blogging” is available as a fully downloadable course. I enjoy developing websites and blogs for clients (click here to see some of my work), and I also do one-on-one coaching on blogging and social media. I’ve working with New York Times bestselling authors, political commentators, personal development coaches and university professors.

Teaching technology is one of my greatest passions, and I’m never happier than when a student of mine says “Oh….I get it!”

“Your Basics of Blogging class (which could be entitled “Blogging for the Reluctant Blogger!”  was so helpful to me as an author and a semi-reluctant computer user. I was so comfortable with you and felt you presented the material in such a palatable and practical way…..your style of teaching is calm, non-threatening, and full of helpful guidance.  Not even once did I feel I was in over my head.”
